If you are interested in an APIMEDA student organization, you can view a partial list of them in the APIMEDA Lifebook and in the APIMEDA Affiliate Organizations list below. The Lifebook also has contact information for another way that you can communicate with the members and learn more about their organization.
You can also find more information about all registered UC San Diego student organizations through the Center for Student Involvement. They list contact information for each organization. You can contact each organization directly to get information about how to join.
Can’t find an organization that you’d like to join? Start one! You need to have four people to start a registered student organization at UC San Diego. You can find more information about this through the Center for Student Involvement’s website. If you are hoping to form an APIMEDA identity-based organization, please reach out to the APIMEDA staff. Maybe we can help!
APIMEDA Programs and Services would like to help your organizations continue to be strong!

The APIMEDA Community Assistant positions allow us to communicate with student organizations and plan mixers and events for APIMEDA students in order to help with their retention and success at UCSD. They help facilitate programs to make APIMEDA students feel a sense of home and connection a larger connection to the UCSD campus. They are also tasked with helping to connect APIMEDA student leaders and organizations. Come to meet with them so that they can help you connect with one another and incorporate your needs into our programming.
APIMEDA Programs and Services has a number of partnerships with CAPS. There are currently two CAPS Counselors who have a direct relationship with APIMEDA Programs and Services, and are tasked with doing outreach to the APIMEDA community. The Unwind the Grind (formerly the APIMEDA Community Forum) is a great place to start to connect with CAPS!
Our CAPS liaisons also works with other CAPS staff to do additional outreach programming. They can lead a variety of workshops for your org's executive boards or GBMs, provide resources, or partner with you on new programs. You can connect with them directly, or contact one of the APIMEDA staff to help you get connected.
In addition to our direct support to student organizations, here are some other resources that many APIMEDA student organizations use.
Surveys of employers who hire recent college grads say some of the top things they look for in applicants are: ability to work in a team, ability to communicate verbally with people, ability to make decisions and solve problems, and ability to plan, organize and prioritize work. Clubs and organizations are an excellent way to gain these valuable skills.
