This award is intended to provide support to outstanding graduate and professional students who are studying and/or presenting research about the experiences of Asian American (including East Asian American, Southeast Asian American, Filipinx American, and South Asian/Desi American), Pacific Islander, and/or Middle Eastern American peoples.
The APIMEDA Grad Community Cafe is a biweekly event that is an open space for graduate students to gain support in their writing, share experiences, and build community with other graduate students. These are structured as virtual writing sessions in the company of fellow graduate and professional students.
In collaboration with the Teaching + Learning Commons, the Writing Hub hosts different writing workshops specifically for grad students. These workshops provide support in writing personal statements, cover letters, dissertations, grant writing, and more.
